HRH Prince Henry Of Wales, 33, Marries Rachel Meghan Markle, 36

Britain’s Prince Harry Of Wales, 33, is a married man.

He has married a divorced American, Rachel Meghan Markle, 36.

The bride looked radiant in white she wore a gown by British designer Clare Waight Keller, from Birmingham, the first female Artistic Director at the historic French fashion house Givenchy to design her dress after meeting in early 2018.

The veil is held in place by Queen Mary’s diamond bandeau tiara, lent to Ms. Markle by The Queen. The diamond bandeau is English and was made in 1932, with the entre brooch dating from 1893.

The bespoke creation is estimated to have cost £200,000, including £78,000 for custom-made fabric and £4,000 for fittings.

Ms. Markle expressed the wish of having all 53 countries of the Commonwealth with her on her journey through the ceremony. Ms. Waight Keller designed a veil representing the distinctive flora of each Commonwealth country united in one spectacular floral composition.

Both Prince Harry and The Duke of Cambridge will wear the frockcoat uniform of the Blues and Royals.

Her Majesty The Queen gave her permission for Prince Harry to get married in his uniform.

Both uniforms were tailored at Dege & Skinner on Savile Row.

The Queen has today been pleased to confer a Dukedom on Prince Henry of Wales. His titles will be Duke of Sussex, Earl of Dumbarton and Baron Kilkeel.

Prince Harry thus becomes His Royal Highness The Duke of Sussex, and Ms. Meghan Markle on marriage will become Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex. She is styled as “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex”. She is also Countess of Dumbarton and Baroness Kilkeel.

Meghan is not really a proper Princess and so it is totally incorrect to refer to her as ‘Princess Meghan’ American media take note. Referring to her as ‘Duchess Meghan’ would also be incorrect.

The style ‘Princess First Name’ is only used for blood-royalty, such as Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

Meghan has technically become a Princess, but not in her own right. She is, correctly, ‘Her Royal Highness Princess Henry, Duchess of Sussex and Countess of Dumbarton and Kilkeel’.

But for ease Meghan will be referred to as ‘Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex’.

Saudi’s Prince Mansour Killed In Helicopter Crash Near Yemen Border

A senior Saudi prince and seven other officials have been killed in a helicopter crash near the country’s border with Yemen, state media report.

Prince Mansour bin Muqrin, the deputy governor of Asir province, was returning from an inspection tour when his aircraft came down near Abha late on Sunday, the interior ministry said.

It did not give a cause for the crash.

The incident came hours after a major purge of the kingdom’s political and business leadership.

An anti-corruption body led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, 32, ordered the detentions of dozens of people, including 11 princes, four ministers and dozens of ex-ministers.

Analysts see the unprecedented move as an attempt to cement the power of the heir to the throne.

Prince Mansour was the son of Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, a former intelligence chief who was crown prince between January and April 2015, when he was pushed aside by Prince Mohammed’s father, King Salman, now 81.

Mansour served as a consultant to his father’s royal court and in April 2017 was among eight young royals appointed deputy governors.
